KeyBank is seeking a HLC Loan Officer to support the origination of residential mortgage loans for clients throughout the United States. The HLC Loan Officer is responsible for building new client relationships and maintaining high standards of loan quality and client satisfaction. The position involves prospecting new home lending business opportunities, originating and processing 1-4 family residential real estate mortgage transactions, and ensuring compliance with established guidelines and regulatory requirements. This role may be performed remotely, offering the flexibility of working from a home office or at a Key facility, depending on the requirements of the job.
Qualifications and Requirements

- Educational Background:
- A bachelor’s degree in a business-related field or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Experience:
- 1-3 years of experience in mortgage sales is required.
- Experience in mortgage processing is preferred.
- Familiarity with FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, and TIL regulations, as well as knowledge of the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, RESPA regulations, and local/state real estate and finance laws is an asset.
- Tactical Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- Proficiency in outbound calling efforts and a strong customer service orientation.

- A clear understanding and application of emotional intelligence in client interactions.

Compensation and Benefits
KeyBank offers a competitive hourly rate of $15.00 per hour for this role. In addition to the base rate, employees are eligible for short-term incentive compensation based on both individual performance and overall company performance.
