
Adecco is seeking a Tech Support Hotline Agent to work remotely in Newark, New Jersey. The position is classified as a contract or temporary role with a competitive pay rate of $17 per hour. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide operational product support for a diverse range of stakeholders. The selected candidate will assist consumers, end-users, installers, engineers, sales distributors, dealers, and builders by addressing inquiries related to product features, installation, usage, troubleshooting, and maintenance. In addition, the role involves providing technical troubleshooting and diagnostic support to qualified Service Centers and Technicians. The position requires efficient communication of technical information and proper documentation of support processes.
Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants are expected to possess a combination of education, experience, and key competencies that ensure they can manage the technical demands of the role. Candidates should have:
- Education & Experience:
- An Associate’s degree or higher in electronics or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in providing technical support for electronic consumer or business products.
- Technical and Communication Skills:
- Proficiency in using PC, Internet, and mainframe computer systems.
- Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
- The capability to communicate effectively with a wide range of clients including end-users, servicers, and technical teams.
- Experience documenting internal and external support processes and creating technical bulletins.
- Core Competencies:
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- A self-motivated work ethic and the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
- An aptitude for working independently with minimal supervision.
- Capacity to collaborate with various stakeholders, including field service, sales, and engineering teams.
