CVS Health/Specialty is hiring a full-time Pharmacy Care Technician to support prescription processing and patient service operations from home. Although the position is primarily remote, applicants must live within 75 miles of Orlando and be willing to report onsite when necessary for equipment or technical issues and performance-review discussions.
The technician will read, interpret, and enter prescription information into the company’s computer system. This work includes calculating doses, assigning prescription directions, and processing insurance payments accurately and promptly. Prescriptions that are incomplete or unclear must be routed to the prescriber for clarification, after which the technician will enter the corrected information.
Inbound telephone support is another central part of the position. The technician will communicate with customers and cross-functional teams to answer questions, resolve problems, provide education, and support the company’s service standards. Responsibilities include enrolling new patients, verifying insurance coverage, conducting benefit investigations, and processing medication orders for new and existing patients.
The role requires familiarity with insurance, healthcare, reimbursement requirements, prescription referrals, and customer education. Technicians must also recognize problems during routine assessments and escalate appropriate matters to a pharmacist. Because the work is performed remotely, the position calls for independent and self-directed performance.

The connection must provide at least 100 Mbps download speed and 10 Mbps upload speed. Wi-Fi and satellite connections are not permitted.
Preferred qualifications include at least three months of experience resolving customer needs by telephone.
