Hybrid Area Operations Manager – Sonography with TridentCare

Overseeing imaging services across North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia, the Area Operations Manager steps into a hybrid leadership role that blends strategic direction with hands‑on clinical practice. Working remotely from within the region, this individual dedicates two days each week to performing ultrasound exams—ensuring clinical proficiency—while the remainder of the week focuses on steering daily operations, optimizing workflows and supporting a dispersed team of sonographers.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Certification & Experience
    • Current ARDMS (or equivalent) ultrasound credential.
    • Five years of clinical sonography practice.
    • At least two years in a supervisory or leadership capacity within healthcare or diagnostic imaging.
    • Demonstrated aptitude for managing multiple sites is highly desirable.
  • Technical Proficiency
    • Skilled in a broad spectrum of ultrasound examinations.
    • Familiarity with PACS, EMR platforms and quality‑assurance protocols.
    • Solid grasp of regulatory standards and clinical best practices.
  • Leadership & Operational Acumen
    • Proven track record of motivating and guiding teams across different locations.
    • Strong organizational instincts, able to juggle competing priorities and allocate resources effectively.
    • Experience in workforce planning, performance measurement and development of staff skills.
  • Analytical & Interpersonal Skills
    • Capacity to interpret operational metrics—exam volume, quality scores and patient feedback—to drive improvements.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication, comfortable liaising with executive leadership, clinical colleagues and support staff.
  • Other Essentials
    • Residency in NC, SC or GA with willingness to travel throughout the tri‑state area.
    • Commitment to dedicating two days per week to field scanning.
    • Valid driver’s license.

Compensation and Benefits
