Remote SBA Credit Analyst with U.S. Bank

Embedded within U.S. Bank’s Credit Underwriting & Lending division, the SBA Credit Analyst evaluates new, renewal and extension loan requests backed by the Small Business Administration. Drawing on detailed financial statements, market data and borrower histories, the analyst identifies potential risks and proposes credit actions that align with both SBA guidelines and the bank’s risk appetite. Leveraging specialized software tools, they compare various lending scenarios before recommending or approving credit extensions, all while helping to fuel growth in communities across the country.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting or equivalent work experience, plus six or more years in credit analysis
  • Proficiency with SBA Standard Operating Procedures and familiarity with nCino preferred
  • Strong foundation in credit policy, risk assessment and portfolio management
  • Background in technical report writing, coupled with clear verbal and written communication
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Teams, Outlook) and comfort navigating multiple software packages

Compensation and Benefits

The posted salary range for this role is $105,400–$124,000, varying by location. Alongside base pay, eligible team members enjoy:
