
Role Overview
Miaplaza is recruiting a Secondary ELA Curriculum Developer to design and develop English Language Arts educational content for students in grades 6-12. The position involves collaborating with subject-matter experts, production teams, and instructional coaches to create videos, assessments, and written activities that are pedagogically sound and engaging. This remote role requires meeting established deadlines while allowing flexible work hours, with availability for weekly meetings during U.S. business hours.
Qualifications and Requirements
Candidates should have:
- A minimum of 2 years of full-time teaching experience in ELA for grades 6-12
- At least 1 year of experience in developing ELA curriculum or lesson materials
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education or a related field
- Proficiency in using technology tools such as Google Slides, Sheets, and Docs
- Strong written communication skills and the ability to write clear, measurable lesson objectives
- Experience in differentiating instruction to meet diverse learning needs
- A proactive attitude, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to continuous improvement
Preferred qualifications include an active teaching certification, professional development in curriculum design, experience in instructional design, and familiarity with screencasting or online instruction tools.
Compensation and Benefits
The hourly pay for this position ranges from $24.92 to $35.01, based on market data and regional considerations. Full-time employees (working over 30 hours per week) are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
