
The Placement Counselor—contractor—contacts students and their families to conduct placement conferences, graduation plan reviews and transcript evaluations, and to collect documentation required to finalize course placements. Responsibilities include guiding families on required documents; interpreting state- and school-specific—and international—academic records against graduation requirements; logging all phone and email communications in Stride’s tools and databases; managing an assigned caseload within specified timeframes; escalating complex cases to the Lead Placement Coordinator; supporting team members; participating in regular meetings and required trainings; and performing other duties as assigned. This home-based position may be performed remotely from Washington, D.C., or any U.S. state.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field AND six months of customer service experience — or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Availability to work weekends and evenings as needed
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Proficiency with Office 365 and web applications
- Ability to clear a required background check
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Placement Counselor
- Academic Counselor certification
Compensation and Benefits
Anticipated hourly compensation ranges from $15.00 to $17.64, with final rates influenced by factors such as geographic location, individual experience, education and the position’s level. As a contractor employed by Randstad, eligibility for a benefits package may include health coverage, retirement contributions and paid time off.
