NOVA Admission Coordinator (Remote – Full Time, Days) with Guidehouse

Guidehouse is hiring for a remote NOVA Admission Coordinator, a full-time position focused on supporting hospital admissions processes. This role requires close coordination with insurance companies, physician offices, and internal teams to ensure accounts are financially secured and properly documented. Candidates must live within 100 miles of Birmingham, AL, and be available to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for inpatient, outpatient, and ambulatory surgery admissions
  • Coordinate with physicians, hospital staff, and insurance carriers to ensure timely and accurate information
  • Collect deductibles and deposits, and explain financial obligations to patients or their representatives
  • Document all activities thoroughly within the hospital’s system
  • Follow up on unsecured accounts by exploring alternative methods to gather required information
  • Act with professionalism, empathy, and courtesy in all patient and staff interactions

Qualifications and Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1–3 years of experience in patient access, billing, insurance verification, or pre-certification in a hospital setting
  • Ability to type at least 35 words per minute
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology is helpful
  • Preferred: CPAR or CHAA certification

Compensation and Benefits
