Remote Technical Support Specialist – Certara

Certara is hiring for the position of Technical Support Specialist, a critical role providing customer-facing technical support and documentation for Certara’s software products. This specialist will deliver Tier-1 and Tier-2 support, train users on software platforms, troubleshoot technical issues, and write clear technical documentation. Collaboration with product development teams and proactive communication with customers are key aspects of the job. The position is open to candidates located on the U.S. West Coast or those willing to work Pacific Time Zone hours (1:00–9:00 PM PT).

Qualifications and Requirements

Candidates should demonstrate a combination of technical expertise, customer service skills, and regulatory awareness. Essential qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Information Technology, Technical Writing, or related field
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in technical writing
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in customer support
  • Knowledge of computer system validation and maintenance of validated status
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and secure handling of sensitive information
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to learn and use technical tools for writing, video production, and customer support
  • Ability to troubleshoot software issues and assist customers with installation, configuration, and usage
  • Proficiency in documenting incidents, procedures, and resolutions clearly

  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with regulatory document preparation
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal development teams
